Hello there and welcome back to my blog. Today's post is going to be about tips and tricks from me to you to better your hair and it's health.

TIPS:
(1): Keep your hair trimmed! I know this is something we hear from the time we are young enough to understand but it is one of the best things you can do for your hair. If you don't get dead ends to quickly and your hair grows fast like myself you may only need it trimmed about maybe 2 or 3 times max a year.
Others that get dead or split ends a lot fast should get their hair trimmed about 4 times a year.
When trimming your hair it takes away the dead ends that are on the ends of your hair strands. These dead ends can keep your hair from growing as quickly as your hair would if it was perfectly healthy and can get worse as the split/dead ends continue to get bigger.

(2): Do NOT wash your hair on a daily basis!!!!!
When you wash your hair every day you are stripping your hair of it's natural oils that it needs to protect the hair and to allow it to be healthy and continue to grow longer and stronger. When washing your hair you should only wash it maybe twice a week, three at max. Myself I take a shower every day but only wash my hair on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays (Wash, skip two days, wash skip two days) See the pattern? When washing your hair everyday and taking away these oils your hair is going to try and oil quicker to put those oils back. This causing you to have oilier hair that normal. Therefore DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR ON A DAILY BASIS!!!!!! :)

(3): Always use a Heat Protectant!
I know that the well know CHI heat protectant serum is about $14.00 or more for a small bottle depending on where you live and where you buy it. I also know if your like myself and are on a budget this is a little much for you to be paying for a hair product. There is now a cheaper product out there that is just as good and does all the same things that you can get in your local wal-marts, dollar stores, rite aids, walgreens, ect. This is the Heat Tamer Spray.
When using a heat protectant you should always use it when using anything involving heat to your hair right? Right. You should also spray it in as a daily product! Why? Well when you go outdoors whats that one thing that gets really hot? The sun! Correct. When you go outside the heat applies direct heat to your scalp and hair causing damage so ALWAYS use a heat protectant.

(4): Shampoo and Conditioner.... Use the Shampoo and conditioner that go together, not one shampoo and another conditioner. When they make Shampoo and Conditioner to go together not with something different. They are to be used together to do what it says it is to do. If you have a hard time finding both that work with your hair try sample/travel sizes til you find something that works for you. This will save you money from having to buy bigger bottles until you find a shampoo AND conditioner that work well with your hair TOGETHER!

(5): Now, us with longer hair like to put our hair up when we start getting out. Well regular hair ties or hair bows are bad for snagging your hair. When buying hair bows make sure it does not have a metal band on it, this catches onto and pulls your hair. If at all possible use scrunchies :)

TRICKS:

(1): Mayonnaise Treatment. Now most of you when you hear about someone putting Mayo in there hair think "Ew, that's gross" Right? Well it may seem a bit gross but it is sooooooo good for your hair. It helps dead or split ends, it helps fly aways in your hair, it helps if you have a dry scalp, get scabs on your scalp, helps dry hair and many other things all in one thing almost everyone has in there home. For this to work it must be 100% mayonnaise (that means it can't be fat free. Now, some of you can't even stand the thought of mayonnaise or touch it, smell it, nothing, you refuse! Well For those of you that cant stand it can use avocado oil in your hair :)

(2): Have oily hair? And wanna find a way to control the oil so you don't have to wash it everyday? I have the solution for you :) Now what is this solution? Baby Powder! Now, your probably thinking okay Ally, your crazy, first the mayonnaise now baby powder? Well baby powder is white and when moved around in your hair is translucent and isn't seen in any color of hair. This powder then absorbs the extra oil in your hair taking away the oily look of your hair :)

Well there it is guys, Some tips and tricks for you from me to help take care of your hair and make sure it grows longer, stronger and is shinny in a good way :)

Mikaela is of a darker Skin tone and Browned eyed. This making it harder for her possibly to find what colors would suit her best when wearing makeup. People who are tan or more darker skin toned and have darker eyes, such as brown eyes, look best with lighter purples, greens blues, browns, and cream tones. With these colors it will help your eyes pop more and leading more of an attraction to your eyes than say your hair. With darker eyes you need some sort of color but nothing extremely bright or extremely dark. Brown smokey eyes would be a good look for Mikaela, or others with a darker complexion and eye color to try. That with a good coat of mascara and some eyeliner on the water line will make your eyes pop without to much color but also going along with your complexion.
Examples of colors to use would be:

This set of brushes comes with all you need for your eyes, lips and face. It is 12.00 ($1 per brush) You can't really go wrong with these brushes, they are great for those on a budget, and starting in makeup. You can also buy these separately. My favorite out of all of them is the ELF eye blending brush. Everyone that owns any kind of makeup should own one of these. Review: Lo'Real Decrease Eyeshadow Base:

When using eye shadow's we tend to notice fade in the color or creasing and would like to prevent that. We all can't get a hold of the famous Urban Decay Primer Potion either and would like something that we can run out to wal-mart and get ourselves. Well, Review: Lo'Real Decrease Eyeshadow Base is that product. It prevents fading in color or creasing for more than 8 hours, is no more than 10.00 with tax, and can be bought in Wal-Mart. This product has a good constancy, stays on and doesn't take much to use.... at all :) I recommend this product for anyone... starters in makeup or even pro's :D

Fake MAC

Fake MAC; It has become very popular in a negative view all over the internet. Myself, own fake MAC. I bought a lot of 90 'MAC' Pigments knowing they were fake. I see nothing wrong with the fake MAC pigments. They are very pigmented, nice colors, have Mac names so it is easy for me to do a look using actual MAC pigments. If you ever notice when someone talks about Fake mac they only mention that they do not like it being Fake... never about the actual product and how it works. Now, if you can afford and like Real MAC, that is also great. I am not in any way trying to get people away from MAC but if like myself you can put a lot of money on one thing then this is something to look into.
If you would like to know more about fake MAC send me a message :)
